It is with great pride that I introduce Cool AirTM by Aircenter, Inc. This is the first modern Freon Air Conditioner system approved for the 500 and 600 series piston Twin Commander, Beech 55, 58 Barons, and Cessna 310 Q and 310 R models utilizing R-134A refrigerant.

Unlike most old-style egine-driven air conditioner systems, the Cool AirTM system weighs only 57 lbs. and is fully electric, allowing the pilot to ground cool his aircraft with a GPU prior to engine start. The condenser module is rated at 16,500 BTU and is remotely mounted behind the baggage compartment. The evaporator and blower fan are mounted where the optional hatshelf is fitted on the Commanders and behind the bulkhead on the Barons and Cessna 310 Q & R models.

This allows for complete use of the baggage floor area. Cool air is ducted into the cabin and dispersed with individual air outlets for each crew member and passenger. The controls are within easy reach of the pilot. There is a Hi and Low fan switch for comfort. The electrical system is protected with the use of an automatic load shed device for safety. A soft-start module is included to soften the initial electric compressor start.

When the Aero Commander,  Beech Baron, Cessna 310 Q and R models were first built, air conditioning was not available for executive aircraft. We now live in an air conditioned world. Our homes and offices are climate controlled. We drive to the airport in an air conditioned car. But then we fly in an aircraft that was not originally designed with this creature comfort in mind.

Now you have a choice. With a Cool AirTM air conditioner for your Aero Commander, Beech Barons, Cessna 310 Q and R models, you and your passengers will not mind those hot sweaty days of waiting on the tarmac for ATC clearance prior to take off. You will arrive at your destination refreshed. Air conditioning helps your passengers handle those days when the combination of turbulence and heat take their toll.

The Cool AirTM  unit has been approved by the FAA for all Twin Commander 500 and 600 series piston aircraft, all 55 and 58 series Barons, Cessna 310 Q & 310R models. The units are PMA approved and can be installed at our authorized facilities or your favorite Twin Commander Service Center, Beech Distributor or Cessna Dealer. Aircenter, Inc is setting up authorized installation centers; call for details and the nearest location.

Give us a call, and we'll explain how easily you can be cool.
